Disney Cruise Room Service Menu: What's Free

Room service is included on every Disney ship except the Adventure, which added a $5 fee in June 2026. What's free, what to ask for off-menu, what costs extra.

Room service is included in your fare on every Disney ship except one. Order breakfast in bed, a midnight pizza, or cookies and milk at 2am and nothing lands on your onboard account — the food itself costs nothing.

That changed for one ship in 2026, and it is the thing most guides have not caught up with yet.

⚠️

The Disney Adventure now charges

From the week of 1 June 2026, room service on the Disney Adventure carries a $5 charge per order plus an automatic 18% gratuity — about $5.90 minimum. It is the first room-service delivery fee in Disney Cruise Line's history. Breakfast ordered by door hanger and concierge orders are reported as exempt. Every other ship — Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy, Wish, Treasure, Destiny — remains complimentary. Disney has not announced this publicly; it comes from travel-press reporting, so confirm onboard.

What's on the menu

The card in your stateroom runs 24 hours and covers more than people expect:

  • Continental and cooked breakfast
  • Sandwiches, wraps and a burger
  • Cheese and pepperoni pizza
  • Caesar salad and the soup of the day
  • Fresh fruit plates and cheese boards
  • Cookies and milk — the one every family ends up ordering
  • Coffee, tea and soft drinks

What to ask for that is not printed

This is the part people search for, and it is less a secret menu than a set of things the galley will usually send up if you ask. None of it is guaranteed, and it varies by ship and by night.

  • Mickey Premium Bars. Not on the card, commonly available on request, at any hour. The single most-repeated tip in the DCL community.
  • The cake of the day. There is a rotating dessert most days that never makes the printed menu. Ask what it is.
  • Uncrustables and whole fruit. Useful for picky eaters, and for taking ashore — check the port's food import rules first, several Caribbean ports restrict fresh fruit.
  • Extra sides. Additional fries, bacon or toast alongside an order are normally fine.

The door hanger is the trick worth knowing

Hang the breakfast card outside your stateroom door the night before with a delivery window ticked, and it arrives without you doing anything. On a port morning with an early meeting time, that is the difference between eating and not — and on the Adventure it is also how you avoid the new charge.

What does cost money

  • Alcohol and specialty beverages — charged at menu price, with the standard 18% service charge.
  • Bottled water and canned soft drinks — the free soft drinks are the fountain ones.
  • Some premium and packaged items carry a charge even where delivery does not.
  • The Disney Adventure, per the callout above.

Tip the person who brings it

Delivery is not covered by your daily gratuities — those go to your stateroom host and dining team. A few dollars in cash per delivery is the norm, and worth having small notes on hand for. It is the one genuine cost of "free" room service.

When it earns its keep

  • Breakfast before an early port arrival, when the buffet is a scrum
  • Late-night, after the show, when everything else has closed
  • A nap-time coffee while a small child sleeps in a dark cabin
  • Dinner on the verandah instead of a formal night you did not want

For what the restaurants serve, see the dining guide and the ship menus. For everything else that is not in your fare, the extra costs guide has the full list.
